What brings forth or reveals Jesus (a Word of God we are) in the womb of man’s soul? Doesn’t it begin when first hearing a spoken word from a messenger from God (an angel; an apostolic word)?
Look closely now in Luke chapter 1:
Luke 1: verses 26-34
26. And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27. To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
28. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.
31. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom, there shall be no end.
34. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
And the angel said unto Mary (v 28, v30-v33)
- You are highly favored (of God)
- The Lord is with you
- You are the blessed one among (all) women
Mary replies to the Angel “I am a virgin” (for she has not nor will not receive the thoughts nor motives of the man of the earth).
She is known in Proverbs as a virtuous woman.
Proverbs 31:10,25,26
10. Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
25. Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
In our natural understanding, we know that Mary is the mother of Jesus. So in spiritual understanding, who then is Mary when applied? Or rather who is she as an allegory in the spirit of prophecy?
“She is the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding”
Because she being wisdom and understanding the Word of God can be brought forth through her.
Wouldn’t that make Mary then also the Tree of Life?
Let’s go back into the book of Proverbs, but let’s look at chapter 3 this time.
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. ~ Proverbs 3:18 ~
Proverbs is saying that She is a Tree of Life. For happy is the man that finds Wisdom and gets Understanding.
Proverbs chapter 3: verses 13 – 24
13. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
16. Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand riches and honor.
17. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
19. The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
20. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
21. My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
22. So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
23. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
24. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
Let’s review Genesis chapter 2. Look more closely how that after the LORD God tells Adam (Eve was not yet formed), not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And if he did, he would die. But then the LORD God has a solution…
Genesis 2: verses 16 – 18
16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
18. And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
What is the very next statement from the LORD God? It’s not good that the man should be alone. So why did he need a helper?
Because Adam could not discern the difference between good and evil without the woman (the Spirit of Wisdom & Understanding).
What births and manifests a Word of God (Jesus)? By Wisdom and Understanding (the virtuous woman) the Holy Ghost will overshadow the heart and will begin to reveal Jesus Christ.
Is it possible then, that the character (Mary) is the allegory of the Spirit of Wisdom & Understanding? And without Wisdom & Understanding (Mary), the Son of God cannot be manifested within our hearts?
