Satans’ Entry

The things in the world (of man’s conscience) are the imagination. In that world of imagination works the:

  • Lust of the Flesh
  • Lust of the Eye
  • Pride of Life

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

~ 1 John 2:16 ~

…and Satan enters by a Lust

We see this in operation throughout the scriptures.

Take for example one of the twelve disciples, called Judas.  His lust was greed of receiving 30 pieces of silver if he agreed to betray Jesus.  Once he decided in consciousness (as intention triggers before the action is manifested), Satan entered. The lie and the deception began to work in his members (thoughts).

And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.  ~ John 13:27 ~

In the book of Luke chapter 22: verses 3-6

3. Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
4.  And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.
5.  And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
6.  And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

And again in the book of John chapter 13: verses 21 – 29

21.  When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22.  Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.
23.  Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
24.  Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.
25.  He then lying on Jesus’ breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?
26.  Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
27.  And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
28.  Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
29.  For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him,        Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something      to the poor.

Walking in the Light as he is in the Light

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

~ 1 John 1:7 ~

“For I AM the light of the world”

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

~ John 8:12 ~

Let no man say that when I am tempted, I’m being tempted by God.

We are tempted when we’re drawn away by our own lust.

James 1:12-15

12.  Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13.  Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14.  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15.  Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

The full scripture reference for our closing with the promise if we do the will of God:

1 John 2: 15 – 17

15.  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16.  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17.  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Therefore we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
